Separate Areas For Eating and Relaxing
You can use one section of the deck for a table for outdoor eating and add outdoor furniture on the other end for relaxing or entertaining guests.
Trex decking is very durable and easy to clean if food or drinks get spilled on it.
We will bring actual Trex deck board samples and colors to your home for you to see.
A Deck Can Be Any Shape You Want
If you are building a new deck, you can make it any shape you want. You can add a bump out section for a BBQ grill, outdoor furniture, a hot tub, or a firepit.
You also have options for the railing system. The vertical pieces can be round or square with several color options.
The top rail can be round or a flat "cocktail" railing so you can set drinks on it.
Propane Firepits Are Becoming Popular
A propane firepit is safe to use on a Trex deck and creates a beautiful relaxing space when sitting on your deck at night. Since they run on propane, they can be turned on or off with a turn of a switch. Firepits can be bought at most places that also sell outdoor furniture.
You do not need much clearance for a firepit. These are self contained units that are made to create a beautiful flame but you can put items such as outdoor furniture in close proximity. Check with manufacture guidelines.
Deck Lighting For Safety and Ambience
Decks are often used at night so adding deck lighting to your new Trex deck is something to consider. It is not easy to install the lighting after the deck is already finished because wires need to be run. Despite the added cost, almost everyone that includes deck lighting is glad they did.
Safety: If your deck will have stairs leading to a lower level or your backyard, lighting can be installed on the handrails and on the stairs themselves for safety reasons.
Ambience: Even if you have no stairs, you can add lighting on the post caps for a soft and relaxing ambient light that is not harsh like the floodlights that many people have mounted on the back wall of their home above the deck.
